August 11, 2016 - A Public Advisory was released by Globe Telecom earlier today stating that their customers are experiencing difficulties in calling between Globe and PLDT due to PLDT's points of interconnection (POIs) having technical issues.

We have in fact found a fault in one of the POIs between PLDT and Globe and the precise cause is still being determined. In any case, PLDT maintains redundant routes for calls to Globe landlines and mobile phones, and, this enables PLDT customers to seamlessly connect to Globe customers.

As a result, we have not received any complaints from our subscribers regarding call connectivity issues to Globe or other providers. This may not however be the case for other telecom operators such as Globe because they maintain their own routing protocols to other providers such as PLDT.

Nevertheless, we are working with our Globe counterparts to normalize the operations of the affected POI.

Thank you.
