PLDT Chairman, President and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan is looking to push the digital envelope across the various companies that he leads, as the pandemic cements the pivot online.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) are teaming up with the local government of Pateros to provide fast and reliable connectivity to its municipal and barangay halls, barangay multipurpose centers, and vaccination sites.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) blocked almost a thousand websites hosting child abuse materials, bringing the total number blocked to 4,000 sites by mid-May.

As more families and communities struggle through the long drawn-out COVID-19 pandemic, PLDT and the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) widen their outreach to indigent communities through the Cebu Caritas, Inc (CCI) Office. The companies and employees of the MVP group have come together to support the countrywide movement of community pantries. Aid in the form of rice, produce, and other dried goods were mobilized by the group to initially benefit over 8,000 individuals and their families through select pantries that have been set-up across Metro Manila.
