The PLDT Group’s School-in-a-Bag (SIAB) are reaching the country’s far-flung provinces, boosting the government’s efforts to improve learning outcomes of Filipino students. 

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart, PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) and Huawei Philippines (Huawei) bring inclusive quality education in hard-to-reach areas in Mapanas, Northern Samar through the PLDT and Smart School-in-a-Bag.

Smart, PSF, and Huawei donated a School-in-a-Bag to Unidos Elementary School in Surigao del Sur.

Unidos Elementary School (ES) in Surigao del Sur recently received an unexpected gift from PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) and Huawei Philippines (Huawei) - the School-in-a-Bag, a digital classroom powered by PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart). 

In partnership with PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) and Huawei Philippines, PLDT and Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) continue to elevate inclusive education in Ormoc City through the donation of three School-in-a-Bag (SIAB) packages to the Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Ormoc City.

PLDT and its wireless communications unit, Smart Communications Inc. (Smart) recently turned over more School-in-a-Bag (SIAB) units to PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) as part of Huawei Philippines Inc.’s (Huawei) 20th anniversary and PLDT and Smart Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan’s 76th birthday celebrations.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. together with USAID through RTI International, support early grade learning across schools in northern and central Luzon.  

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) together with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through RTI International continue to expand learning platforms in remote schools across the country.

PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), PLDT and Smart, FiberHome Technologies, and the Department of Education (DepEd) recently turned over three School-in-a-Bag (SIAB) packages to Batangas City schools to help make sure that there will be #NoLearnerLeftBehind. 

For programs aimed at ensuring continuous learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic, education initiatives of Smart were recognized at the opening of the Mobile Learning Week 2020 of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
