Starting October 6, 2019, all landline numbers in Greater Manila Area with area code 02 have become 8-digit numbers.

In compliance with the directive of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) in its Memorandum Order 10-10-2017, PLDT along with all other telecom providers in the Greater Metro Manila area have converted existing 7-digit landline numbers to 8-digit numbers.

This change applies to telephone numbers in the cities and towns of Metro Manila with the area code “02”, including Rizal Province; San Pedro, Laguna; and Bacoor, Cavite.  This has been done by adding a new number before the old 7-digit number.

For PLDT lines, you just add "8".

For example, if the old 7-digit number is 1234567, the new telephone number if 81234567.

Shown below are the numbers added to telephone lines of other operators:

Bayantel – add 3

Eastern Telecom – add 5

Globe/Innove – add 7

We encourage you to share your new telephone number with your contacts and update the details in your business cards, flyers, websites and social media accounts.
