Advisory 5: PLDT Group aid continues in Enteng-hit areas
PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. together with Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. will be providing hot meals to communities in Naga City, Camarines Sur, one of the areas affected by Typhoon "Enteng" and the southwest monsoon (habagat).
The PLDT Group just concluded its Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng Wi-Fi services to help reconnect residents to their loved ones in affected communities. PLDT and Smart's Infocast service also provided vital communication links to the Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office (APSEMO) during their disaster response efforts.

Communication as aid, just like food, water, and shelter, is important during emergency situations, especially during this typhoon season. We will continue to play an active role in strengthening the capacity of high-risk communities to help them prepare for, and recover from the impact of disasters," said Cathy Yang, PLDT and Smart FVP and Head of Group Corporate Communications.
All these efforts are part of PLDT and Smart's broader commitment towards a #SafeandSmart Philippines and are aligned with the UNSDG #11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.

Advisory 4: PLDT, Smart comms aid help reconnect Enteng-hit communities
As Enteng exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), PLDT and Smart continue to provide communication as aid to help reconnect communities affected by the storm and ongoing Southwest Moonsoon (Habagat).
Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng Wi-Fi stations continue to operate to serve the needs of residents in the following areas:
1. Calauag Brgy Hall, Naga City
2. Milaor Municipal Hall Covered Court, Camarines Sur
3. Plaza Camaligan, Camarines Sur
Together with the PLDT-Smart Foundation, Alagang Kapatid Foundation Inc., and Maya, PLDT and Smart are also calling on the public to participate in the ongoing digital fundraising to provide much needed assistant to storm-hit communities.
All these efforts are part of PLDT and Smart's #SafeandSmart advocacy, which promotes preparedness and immediate response through network resilience, continuous availability of communication services, mobile solutions and activities, and relief assistance to help communities mitigate disaster risks.

Advisory #3: PLDT, Smart network remain resilient despite Enteng
As of Sept. 3, 8 a.m. Philippine Standard Time, PLDT and wireless unit Smart Communications Inc. report the network has remained resilient following the onslaught of Tropical Storm "Enteng," assuring customers continued network services.
For communities most impacted, especially by power outages, PLDT and Smart's Luzon network sites have begun providing communication services. Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng Wi-Fi stations may be found in the following areas:
1. Calauag Brgy. Hall, Naga City
2. Milaor Municipal Hall Covered Court, Camarines Sur
3. Plaza Camaligan, Camarines Sur
To further assist affected communities, PLDT and Smart, together with the group's social outreach arm, PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. (AKFI), and Maya are encouraging the public to support the digital fundraising drive by scanning the QR code.

Advisory 2: PLDT, Smart activate free call, charging, Wi-Fi to assist Enteng-affected communities
To assist Enteng-hit communities, PLDT and Smart Communications Inc. teams are coordinating with local government units to activate Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng Wi-Fi stations that will provide much needed communication services as aid to local residents and response teams.
Beginning September 3, Tuesday, free calling, charging and Wi-Fi services will be available in the following areas:
1. Calauag Brgy Hall., Naga City
2. Magarao Municipal Hall Covered Court, Camarines Sur
3. Municipality of Camaligan, Camarines Sur
Meanwhile, a longtime partner of PLDT and Smart, the Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office (APSEMO) is able to send timely alerts and precautionary advisories to residents via the PLDT and Smart Infocast platform. A web-based text-broadcasting solution that enables organizations to easily distribute important information to community members, the Infocast service supplements ongoing preparedness and response efforts of APSEMO.
The support to APSEMO and other local response teams is a key part of the PLDT Group’s commitment to help make cities and human settlements safe, resilient and sustainable.
Weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that as of Sept. 2, 5 p.m., Tropical Storm Enteng is now over Quirino Province after making landfall in Casiguran, Aurora. With maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h, it is expected to bring sustained winds and moderate to intense rainfall in areas of Luzon and Visayas over the next few days.

Advisory 1: PLDT, Smart assure stable network, readiness to help amid Enteng
PLDT and Smart assure their customers that network services remain stable, amid the onslaught of "Enteng." Manpower and resources have also been prepositioned to provide assistance to affected communities.
In its 8 a.m. bulletin today, weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that Tropical Storm Enteng was estimated at 100 km North Northwest of Daet, Camarines Norte. With maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 90 km/h, the storm is seen affecting parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, and the Visayas.
The public is advised to take the necessary precautions and heed the alerts and warnings of local government units and disaster response authorities.
