The theme for this year's Brigada Eskwela by the Department of Education (DepEd): “Pagpapanatili ng Bayanihan Tungo sa Kalidad na Edukasyon para sa Kabataan”.
The traditional concept of Brigada Eskwela involved physical cleaning, painting, repainting, and doing minor repairs. The new normal ushered in a new concept of Brigada Eskwela. It focuses on preparations and strengthening partnership engagement to ensure that learning continues amid the pandemic. The activities highlight partnership initiatives that complement the DepEd's efforts to ensure that quality basic education will continue despite the challenges posed by COVID-19.
