The PSF and Smart hope to ensure that students are able to cope with the new normal in education by providing Smart’s Fastest LTE connectivity. The pocket wifi is intended to support scholars with limited resources for home broadband connectivity for online classes.

Smart Vice President for Consumer Sales Gia Palafox explained that they want to enable students to perform well in the digital learning platform. “Our point in our partnerships with schools is we want to empower students in learning, especially in the new normal,” Palafox said.

“Amid the pandemic, e-learning has played a key role in ensuring the continuity of education in the new normal. In PLDT-Smart Foundation, we aim to provide the best learning opportunities for all by enabling students and teachers in the digital space,” said PLDT-Smart Foundation President Esther Santos.

“My sincerest gratitude to PLDT-Smart Foundation for your thoughtful donations of units of pocket wifi devices, which are given to our students and teachers. These pocket wifi devices are of great help to the school’s implementation of Online Distance Learning. Our students are able to continuously participate in their classes’ activities. While our teachers are being aided by these devices to continuously facilitate learning in the midst of this pandemic,” said Quezon City Science High School Principal Remedios Danao.
