PLDT, PBSP extend COVID-19 relief to indigent communities in Cebu

As more families and communities struggle through the long drawn-out COVID-19 pandemic, PLDT and the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) widen their outreach to indigent communities through the Cebu Caritas, Inc (CCI) Office. As part of the sustainable livelihood program supported by PLDT and PBSP, hygiene kits were distributed at the Caritas Kindness Station in Cebu.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) are working closely with the government and expanding their support for the government's COVID-19 response by rolling out fiber-powered WiFi connectivity to more government-run quarantine, swabbing, isolation sites and other COVID-19 facilities nationwide.
