COVID-19

As the City Government of Davao aggressively rolls out COVID-19 vaccines to its residents to achieve herd immunity before the year ends, Davao City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte underscores the importance of reliable and uninterrupted internet connection across the city’s vaccination hubs.

In support of the massive COVID-19 immunization program of the group of multi-industry companies chaired by business leader Manuel V. Pangilinan, PLDT Inc.’s corporate business unit PLDT Enterprise and its major partner Cisco Philippines deployed technologies for MVP Group’s pilot mega vaccination sites in NCR+.

For Dr Andresul Labis of the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) in San Simon, Cagayan de Oro City, connectivity remains to be as important as ever as the country faces rising COVID-19 cases, especially for facilities located away from city centers.

The MVP Group inoculates more employees amid the Delta surge, with its latest arrival of a fresh batch of vaccines. The arrival of more vaccines paved the opening of its fourth NCR mega vaccination site, the Makati headquarters of Smart Communications Inc. (Smart).

PLDT Enterprise remains steadfast in helping businesses implement their digital roadmaps, sustain their work operations, and accelerate recovery despite the economic disruptions brought by the global COVID-19 crisis.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) are assuring their customers of continued service amid the renewed community restrictions in various areas nationwide. This, as the country braces for the new surge of infections due to the Delta variant of COVID-19.

Supporting the government’s call, PLDT and Smart have enabled the Local Government of Cebu City to bring vaccines to hard-to-reach communities.

The MVP Group Vaccine Task Force (MVP VTF) activated today its PLDT Sta. Ana Warehouse vaccination site in the City of Manila. The site is the second launch three days after the ceremonial launch at the Meralco Compound in Pasig, part of the pilot NCR+ locations that will administer vaccines to over 60,000 employees from companies under the leadership of businessman Manuel V. Pangilinan. The MVP Group #WeGotYourVac program also offers vaccines to employees' dependents and household members.

PLDT wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has rolled out free WiFi connectivity to support vaccination sites in Metro Manila, Palawan, and Rizal.

PLDT and its wireless arm Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) are providing connectivity support to the Office of the Vice President's drive-thru vaccination site in Harbour Square, Manila.
