DITO SERVED NOTICE OF BREACH BY PLDT FOR NON-PAYMENT OF PhP429.7 M IN SERVICE FEES

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) on October 6, 2022, PLDT Inc. informed the PSE that it had, on the same date, sent DITO Telecommunity Corporation (DITO) a Notice of Material Breach and Demand for Payment as a result of DITO’s refusal to pay  Php429,726,315.79 for contracted services which PLDT has fully performed and delivered to DITO.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart extended ‘malasakit’ or compassion to distressed farmers in Luzon. Teaming up with social enterprise Rural Rising Philippines, PLDT and Smart employees and their contractors participated in the Box-All-You-Can event during the companies’ Sustainability Week celebration.
