The Philippines’ largest fully integrated telco PLDT will continue to expand its international cable network as the initial phase of cable construction of the Asia Direct Cable (ADC) begins in Batangas, just months after the successful launch of the Jupiter cable system.

PLDT Inc. and its wireless arm Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) have launched a meaningful partnership under its Digital health and wellness banner program Better Today PH with the Archdiocese of Cebu’s Commission on Youth and university-based Psychology Center, Kauban.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) continue to support learning institutions in the new normal of education. PLDT and Smart onboarded teachers from public schools across Catanduanes into the Central Visayan Institute Foundation – Dynamic Learning Program (CVIF-DLP).

(Smart) officially signed another phase of partnership with the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) under the Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP), the first and longest-running industry-academe linkage in the Philippines established in 2003.

Leading integrated telco network company PLDT Inc. (PLDT) continues to beef up its initiatives to protect its physical assets by activating a hotline where citizens nationwide can report cable theft, cable breakage and other related incidents, that often lead to service disruption.

To further improve customer experience, PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications ramp up efforts to curb incidents that disrupt wireless services, including theft of network components such as batteries, fuel, generators and equipment cabinets.
