The five-day ACC 2023 convention recently held in Cebu featured a groundbreaking plenary session headlined by two renowned experts in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Erica Orange and Jeremy White.

PLDT wireless unit and top esports supporter Smart Communications, Inc. recently gathered the top collegiate teams for the first nationwide inter-school Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) tournament played over the Smart Giga Arena. 

PLDT Inc. (PLDT) and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), together with non-profit organization ATRIEV, held a ten-day Android accessibility training in Dumaguete City to upskill twenty visually impaired persons from eleven municipalities in Negros Oriental.

The recently concluded ACC 2023 convention has gone beyond thought leadership and business networking. With the support of international and local delegates and partners, together with PLDT Global Corporation and the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), ACC gave back to the community that has been hosting them for almost two decades.

In celebration of the International Literacy Day, PLDT and Smart have enlisted teachers in fortifying digital learning platforms and turning them into safe spaces through CyberSmart.

Smart urges peers and stakeholders to come up with a more coordinated response to online and text scams and fraud. 

PLDT and Smart are supporting the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) Earthquake and Tsunami Warning System (ETEWS) Project. The pilot project aims to strengthen the disaster preparedness and response capacities of the municipalities of Bauan and Calatagan in Batangas province.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. say they are testing a cooperative cybersecurity project called the Global Chain of Trust (GCOT), which aims to provide members and their stakeholders a ‘clean’ digital environment and block from the network domains that store and publish child abuse material.
