Global citizens of the 21st century are people who know how to adapt to the changing times, according to Roxas City Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Feliciano C. Buenafe. He quoted futurist and notable author Alvin Toffler who said, “The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who can’t read and write but those who cannot learn, relearn, and unlearn.”

Leading industries have turned to technology to survive the economic pivot to the “new normal” with the Philippines’ largest and only integrated telecommunications company PLDT aiding organizations and businesses to adapt and thrive in the current challenges of the pandemic.

PLDT, Smart and PLDT Enterprise have teamed up with over a hundred schools, colleges and universities nationwide, as well as tech giants Microsoft and Google to make connectivity and digital solutions more accessible to the education sector.

To provide a more meaningful learning and teaching experience for dedicated teachers, PLDT and Smart are working with the Department of Education to support its blended learning strategy.  

PLDT Chief Revenue Office Alfredo Panlilio said customers' need for e-learning, e-health, e-work, e-sports and entertainment will continue even as quarantine restrictions are relaxed.
