In line with the massive cleanup drive nationwide, the Philippines’ largest integrated telco PLDT has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the San Juan city local government unit (LGU) to remove dead and idled wires and fix sagging cables, promoting safety and a better environment in affected areas.

The Chairman of PLDT, Inc, and the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), Manuel V Pangilinan recently pledged a P4-million scholarship grant to the chosen scholars of his alma mater, San Beda College. Equivalent to P1 million for the next four years, this pledge matches the P4-million-donation of the PSF to the San Beda College Alumni Foundation (SBCAF).

In 2013, when he was brought to the Philippine Eagle Center in Davao City, the brown and white eagle was weak and sickly. He needed caring and nurturing from kind and compassionate people whom he found in the Center. He recovered and got his eagle-strength back and, after three years, was released back to the forest in the Obu-Manuvu ancestral domain in Brgy. Carmen, Baguio District in Davao City.
