(PLDT) urges its customers and their communities to continue being vigilant against individuals falsely presenting themselves as PLDT personnel.  This is in connection with rising incidents of unauthorized modem collection across more areas, including Pangasinan and other areas in Central Luzon.

Armando Dodjie Lim, better known to his family, friends, and colleagues as “Dodjie”, joined PLDT in 1987. His eagerness to explore and discover new things enabled him to learn various skills that eventually made him an executive in the company.

“Thirty years ago – that was when I first set foot at PLDT, trying my corporate luck after going through the rigorous process of recruitment. [This is] actually my first job,” said Monett Lansang, a PLDT employee who has served the company for 30 years.

It's not the app as we know it these days, but a telegram in the late 90s served its purpose just the same for Michael Surla, a PLDT employee who has been with the company for 25 years. “It was a small piece of paper that changed my life,” Surla said. “That telegram included details that told me to report to PLDT for a possible employment.”

The year was 1981. Merly Gaspay was 18 years old and she was with her sister, seeking employment in Makati City. They were among the many people who lined up along PLDT Malugay, which then had a mass hiring. “I have always wondered if it was luck or destiny,” Gaspay said.
