PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) emerged as the big winners at the recently concluded Anvil Awards, sweeping twenty trophies, and the highly coveted Company of the Year award, for the fourth consecutive year.

Considered as the “Oscars” of public relations in the Philippines, the Anvil Awards are presented annually by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) to outstanding PR programs, tools, and practitioners, as discerned by a multi-sectoral board of jurors. This is the 59th year of the PRSP-backed competition.

For programs that help improve the lives of Filipinos, PLDT, Smart and PayMaya Philippines have been recognized anew at the recently concluded Anvil Awards.

PLDT, Inc. was honored as Company of the Year at the 54th Anvil Awards: Gabi Ng Parangal held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Newport City. Considered as one of the top citations during the ceremony, the award is given to the company that has garnered the most number of Anvil points for its public relations programs and tools.

Leading telecoms and digital services provider PLDT harvested 13 trophies at the 53rd Anvil Awards of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) for its outstanding communications campaigns in the past year.
