MANILA, Philippines, 3rd May 2016 – PLDT, Inc. (“PLDT”) (PSE: TEL) (NYSE: PHI) today
announced its unaudited financial and operating results for the first three (3) months of 2016 with Consolidated Core Net Income, before exceptional items, at Php 7.2 billion, Php2.1 billion lower than the amount recorded for the same period in 2015, and in line with the core income guidance of Php28 billion for the full year 2016. The reduction from prior year was due largely to lower EBITDA reflecting higher product subsidies, higher depreciation, and higher financing costs. Read more
