PLDT and Smart officers and employees, led by PLDT Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan, welcomed the new year recently with thanksgiving Masses held at the Lady of Manaoag Chapel, MGO Building and the Smart Tower Lobby, leaving 2019 with grateful hearts. Thanksgiving Masses were also held in PLDT offices from 16 different regions nationwide.

“This new year, we shall strive harder and aim higher. We shall move forward with great optimism as we continue to transform our workplace culture and deliver better customer and employee experience,” said PLDT Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan.
Attendees included key executives as well as employees from various departments and divisions in Metro Manila and some regional offices. Rev. Fr. Mon Merino and Rev. Fr. Andy Inting concelebrated the Mass at the MGO.

“As one PLDT and Smart, we welcome the new year – the new decade – with hopeful and grateful hearts. We bring the things we have learned from last year and use these as platforms for our continued growth that goes beyond our workplace,” said Panlilio.

Welcoming the new year with hope and optimism, PLDT and Smart’s celebration likewise included a solid commitment anchored on PLDT values such as delivering awesome customer experience, the high standard for 2020 in creating customer-focused products and innovative services. Also underscored is the importance of teamwork and camaraderie in doing good work and cultivating the company’s culture.
To cap off the event, Mass attendees were served snacks of puto bumbong and bibingka, catered by Via Mare. A simple salusalo package was also provided for Makati-based employees and selected provincial offices.
