More and more Filipinos overseas have enjoyed the benefits PLDT Global Corporation’s TINBO (Tindahan ni Bossing) through its collaboration with the Philippine government.

“For more than 20 years, PLDT Global has enjoyed the privilege of being part of the global journey of Filipinos. From international calls and messaging, and now through our digital channels TINBO and the Smart Virtual Number, we have been present at every touchpoint, connecting global Pinoys to the Philippines and their loved ones,” said Albert V. Villa-Real, President and CEO at PLDT Global.

Powered by PLDT Global, TINBO is the one-stop online marketplace that enables Filipinos living overseas to buy load, pay bills, send food vouchers, e-gifts, healthcare PINs from mWell, and even gaming PINs for their families in the Philippines. Through TINBO, they can also acquire a Smart Virtual Number (SVN), enabling them to receive important OTPs from their e-wallets and e-banks in the Philippines like Maya. TINBO also provides overseas Filipinos access to a convenient and secured online bills payment platform for their Philippine utilities like Meralco and Maynilad, and other digital services while outside the Philippines.

TINBO also recently received positive reviews from OFW customers. Mhara Reyes and Gracia Constantino, who are both OFWs in Saudi Arabia, shared that they like using TINBO because they trust that the platform can help OFWs, and that it’s easy to use. On the other hand, Qatar-based Sypress Caparangca said, “Sobrang nagustuhan ko ang offer ni TINBO para sa mga OFW. [I really like the offers on TINBO for OFWs]”

PLDT Global has also brought 135 local brands and services closer to global Filipinos through TINBO.

Despite being a young platform launched just over a year ago, TINBO now boasts over 70,000 registrations and almost 40,000 SVN subscribers. The SVN also allows TINBO customers access to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration’s (OWWA) Helpline 1348 through the platform.

The partnership with Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has allowed PLDT Global to reach and serve more Filipinos working and living overseas.

“PLDT Global is happy to be the ally of OFWs and government for connectivity and technology. We continue to strive to offer them and their families relevant services through our digital platforms like TINBO and partnerships for different programs that support their development. Our promise remains the same: wherever there’s a Filipino, PLDT Global will be there— ready to serve, ready to bring you closer to home, and make your everyday lives better,” Villa-Real added.

PLDT Global’s joint initiatives with the DMW and OWWA to help ensure the well-being of OFWs and their families is a fundamental part of the much broader PLDT commitment to serve and lift the quality of life of Filipinos everywhere.
