With the theme Beyond PiXels, the PLDT Lens Camera Club (PLCC) celebrated its 10th anniversary recently at the City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati City.

During the program, PLCC recognized the efforts of past and present club presidents, namely, Pablo Apostol, Ronald Catalan, Ginalynn Dionco, Edmund Munchua, Marc Edgar Sevilla, and Jan Lester Bisco, by awarding each of them a plaque of appreciation. 

PLCC also awarded certificates of appreciation to guests and partners which included Canon Marketing (Philippines) Inc., Fujifilm Philippines Inc., and Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation.

“PLDT Lens Camera Club enabled me to express my feelings and creativity through photographs. It has constantly widened my imagination. PLCC has also served as an avenue for people who share the same passion for photography to come together. It is more than just a photography organization or a club. It is family,” Bisco said. 

PLCC also held its Mr. and Ms. PLCC 2019 with Ryan Dave Lorenzo and Joanna Muldong as winners. Norman Reyes and Sally Cautivo were adjudged first-runner-up while Christian Bongon and Ellyn Culanag bagged the second-runner-up.

Prior to the anniversary program, club members attended a thanksgiving mass at Our Lady of Manaoag Shrine Chapel in PLDT. 

As part of its 10th year celebration, the club, in partnership with Juan Portrait,  will have an outreach program on October 26-27 at  Dingalan, Aurora. Juan Portrait is a non-government organization that teaches photography to students in far-flung areas in the country.

A photo exhibit and trade fair will be held on February 2020 as the culminating activity of its 10th anniversary. 

Led by Bisco, PLCC conducted a basic photo workshop for all employees and dependents in April 2019. The club also joined various national photography contests with some members garnering recognition, including Lilibeth Caunga who won 11th place at the 2019 PhotoWorldCup Photo Contest, themed ‘Looking Up’. Emmalyn Araojo was a finalist in the same photo contest with the theme ‘Water’.
