PLDT completes the construction of its new office in Pasay.

The Philippines’ leading fully integrated telco PLDT recently inaugurated its newly constructed headquarters in Pasay City to further enhance its operations and delivery of critical services particularly to customers in the south of Metro Manila.

Constructed at the previous site of the old PLDT Pasay office, the new single-storey building houses PLDT’s Pasay and Makati Customer Experience Service division, SME Group, Home Sales, Account Admin, Facilities Management, and a canteen, and can accommodate nearly 230 of PLDT and Smart’s workforce. A multi-level steel parking complex completes the redeveloped site of the 3,500-square meter property.

“Our improvements in our facilities enable us to be nimble and agile, enhancing our capabilities and enabling us to provide the best customer experience to our subscribers,” said Leo Gonzales, PLDT VP for facilities and property management.

In support of the PLDT Group’s commitment to reducing its carbon emissions and implementing sustainable practices in its operations and facilities, the new building makes use of energy- and water-efficient fixtures such as inverter aircontioning and LED lighting for its interiors while complementing areas with open air windows for natural ventilation.  The facility’s facade also made use of sustainable building materials for durability and easy maintenance.

The Pasay redevelopment follows PLDT’s recent announcement of plans to redevelop and transform its Makati headquarters into a modern, ecologically sustainable, and open campus-type headquarters, targeting completion in time for its centennial anniversary in 2028.

PLDT continues to invest in developing its facilities, network, and ICT infrastructure to power the country’s digital economy and serve more customers. These new facilities include the construction of a hyperscale facility, its 11th VITRO data center, and major investments in new international submarine cables such as the recently inaugurated Jupiter Cable system and the construction of the APRICOT and ADC.

Recently, PLDT announced an additional 401,000 new fiber customers for its Home segment in the first half of the year totaling to 2.8 million fiber subscribers, further sustaining its industry lead in enabling more households with fiber connectivity to cope with the hybrid work and school set ups.

The PLDT Goup is also accelerating the build out of it fiber ports to increase capacity by 1.7 million this year, which is already at 950,000 in end-June, augmenting its massive fiber network which is currently at 837,000 kilometers, the most among local telcos.
