Hailed as one of the country’s biggest searches for admirable Filipino entrepreneurs, PLDT SME Nation, in partnership with Go Negosyo and Sun Business, announces the start of the nominations for the 2013 MVP Bossing Awards. This serves as a glowing tribute to local business leaders who embody the Filipino entrepreneurial spirit, empower the country’s growth through their economic contributions along with the tenacity to survive and revolutionize their business operations using the latest technology solutions.

Among the past recipients of the Grand MVP Bossing Awards were Lamoiyan Corporation’s Cecilio Pedro in 2010, National Bookstore’s Socorro Ramos in 2011 and Golden ABC’s Bernie Liu in 2012.  Last year’s winners were Clarita Leelin Go and Milagros Leelin Yee of Goldilocks, Mariano Manas Jr. of Henlin, Nino Caruncho IV of Mr. Quickie, Abraham Pascual of Pascual Laboratories, Willy Sy of Primer Group, Myrna Yao of Richwell Trading Corporation, Marvin Agustin of Sumo Sam, Johnny Hernandez of Victory Liner, Natividad Cheng of Uratex, Rosalind Wee of W Group Inc. and William Belo of Wilcon Depot.

Spanning Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, the nationwide search calls on nominations for SMEs who have laudable success stories to share, deserving to be called a “Bossing.” Qualified for nomination are entrepreneurs and home-grown Filipino business leaders who have been in operation for at least five years. Nominations are now ongoing until October 11, 2013.

“We’re expecting more entries this year as we’ve seen more and more SMEs taking advantage of technology to help them grow and expand their business. We are also centralizing our efforts to make this year an even tougher selection process for the finest SMEs in our country to best represent and raise the banner of a true Bossing,” said PLDT SME Nation Assistant Vice President and Marketing Head Amil Azurin.
