What will you do if your mobile internet suddenly hits speed of up to 250 Mbps?

This is what we asked vacationers at the paradise island of Boracay – the launch site of the country’s first ever LTE-Advanced (LTE-A or 4.5G) network.

See their responses in this video:

Smart has begun to roll out LTE-A service which can provide significantly higher data speeds than existing LTE services using a capability called “carrier aggregation.” Initially deployed in Boracay, Aklan, one of the country’s leading tourist destinations, Smart’s LTE-A service there has posted speeds of up to 250 Mbps.

Watch snippets from the launch event below and see the reactions of those who have experienced this technology first-hand!
