Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo-Wurtzbach on being a gamer beauty queen, anti-bullying advocate, and a queen who is everybody’s friend.

What are things you miss most about home?
Family, friends, home cooked meals and surprisingly, the weather.

You got the geeks excited when you revealed your love for online gaming? How did you get into gaming?
I just loved playing Playstation. As soon as I got my hands on the console, I couldn't let go. I also loved playing the Xbox. Really depends on the game I am playing.

You're very social media savvy. What have you learned from managing social media accounts with global reach?
It’s a great way to interact with friends and most especially the supporters of Miss Universe. I’ve learned that if Im consistent in my posting, then they feel like they are there with me in my journey as the reigning Miss Universe.

One of your advocacies is anti-cyberbullying? Why is it a priority for you?
I think it’s relevant especially nowadays where almost everybody has an online account and can hide behind a username to abuse other people. Even though it’s done through the internet, it’s still abuse. Bullying should never be tolerated.

As the techie Miss Universe, how has technology helped you achieve your dreams?
I am updated with the latest news, which is very important especially for me where I have to talk about certain issues. Also on the fun side, it keeps me updated on the latest trends which is also part of the image of a Miss Universe.

What makes you different form the rest of the Miss Universe titleholders?
I think with WME/IMG on board, we've definitely made Miss Universe more natural and fun. She's still a woman who is respected, opinionated and graceful. But she is also charming and approachable. Someone that you feel like you could be friends with.

What is that one moment that changed your life forever?
Obviously that fateful night, December 20, 2015. I finally made all of our dreams come true. Not just mine, but the whole nation's.

You once said, "The thing with dreams is when one comes true, you aim for another dream." What’s next for Pia?
I think about it a lot. The possibilities are endless. Right now though, my focus is being the best spokesperson for the Miss Universe Organization and of course for the Philippines.
