The Philippine Internet of Everything Consortium (PIoEC) newly elected Chairman Dan Lachica (second from right) and Vice Chairman Jovy Hernandez (third from right) join hands with the elected Founding Board members and SMART representatives.


The PIoEC is the first alliance in the Philippines of a select group of industry leaders and technical partners who have come together to advocate and champion rapidly growing Machine-to-Machine (M2M) solutions, and its eventual evolution into the “Internet of Everything”.  It counts among its founding members leaders from PLDT-SMART, Air21, Banco de Oro (BDO), Concepcion Carrier Air Conditioning Company, Cisco, Cormant Technologies, Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Duty Free Philippines, eScience, Far Eastern University, IBM Philippines, Infosys, MasterCard, Meralco, Novare Technologies, Philippine Franchise Association, Samsung Electronics, Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation, Inc. (SEIPI), Tech Mahindra, University of the Philippines, Voyager Innovations Inc., and Wipro.

SEIPI President Dan Lachica was elected to serve as Chairman. "We, as a group, are at the forefront of many initiatives that will help Philippine enterprises prepare for IoE. This is an exciting time to oversee the organization's strategic activities," said Mr. Lachica.

Lachica will be joined on the Board by Jovy Hernandez, PLDT First Vice President, who will serve as Vice Chairman.

“The IoE has never been more relevant than today,” said Hernandez. “It is an honor and a great opportunity to be part of the organization’s leadership.”

The other elected members of the PIoEC Board were BDO Consumer Lending Group – Merchant Acquiring Services Vice President Gilbert Ramos, Cormant Technologies CEO Ian Wilson, Meralco Strategy and Innovation Head Dr. Engr. Bartosz Wojszczyk, Concepcion-Carrier Air Conditioning Company ICT Director Sean Byrne, UP Professor of Computer Science Dr. Jaime Caro, Cisco Philippines Country Manager Louie Castañeda, and eScience CEO Ricky Dagelet.
