While most of us have to stay at home to halt the spread of the dreaded coronavirus (Covid-19), some of PLDT's frontliners are actually facing the heightened risks of the outside world to serve the increasing connectivity needs of subscribers.
One of these courageous frontliners is Kevin Garcia, CX service delivery associate from the PLDT Marikina CX Zone. On the third week of the enhanced community quarantine, his tasks included the repair of the connectivity lines of musical icon Gary Valenciano in nearby Antipolo City. It was an urgent assignment that required him to work beyond 5 pm but Kevin diligently repaired the lines, eventually restoring the PLDT Home Fibr connection at 300mbps.

The next day, he got an unexpected video message.
In the video, Gary V. expressed his appreciation of Kevin's work: "...Unang-una gusto kong pasalamatan si Kevin Garcia, yung pumunta dito sa bahay namin kani-kanina lang para maayos niya yung connection ko, yung signal ko, coz I'm going to have special performances online very soon..."
The singer/songwriter also thanked the frontliners, "... To the frontliners, I know it's scary, nakakatakot, hindi natin alam kung anong mangyayari at kung sino ang matatamaan ng Covid-19 but thank you so very much."
He enjoined them to pray to God, "...just ask Him to protect you, to be with you and let Him take care of the rest. Let Him protect you and your families as well..."
