The Philippines’ largest integrated telco company, PLDT Inc., powered the first leg of the Integrated Sustainable Assistance Recovery and Advancement Program (ISARAP) in Negros Occidental held at Natalio Velez Sports and Cultural Center, Silay City.
ISARAP is a convergence activity of government agencies that aims to inform the public about the services and programs they are offering. A total of 18 local government agencies participated in the event and recognized over 400 program beneficiaries across the province.
“We’re very happy to be a part of this program in Negros Occidental by providing the event with the best, fastest, and most reliable internet connectivity. This also forms part of our corporate social responsibility by helping the local government agencies extend their services and program to the people,” said Michael Mejia, PLDT Consumer Service Head for the Visayas.
PLDT provided connectivity support to boost the event’s live streaming and other online transactions in the agencies’ respective booths.
“Being one of the lead agencies of this activity, one of DICT Negros Occidental’s key commitments is to provide strong connectivity to all the participants. We are very grateful to PLDT for helping us make this event a success,” said DICT Negros Occidental Provincial Head Engr. Romeo Tome.
The program is set to reach more towns in the province to further showcase their projects and assist more beneficiaries. PLDT’s efforts to provide connectivity for all underscore its commitment to help the country attain the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG No. 11 on Sustainable Cities and Communities.
