ADVISORY 06 [16 June 2022] As of 4 pm Philippine Standard Time, PLDT and Smart, together with PLDT-Smart Foundation, TV 5 and Alagang Kapatid Foundation, extended aid to families affected by the eruption of Mt. Bulusan in Sorsogon.
The PLDT Group and PSF, in close coordination with other MVP-led organizations, distributed 500 packs of relief assistance, as well as 10,000 face masks and 10,000 vitamin tablets in the following areas:

PHIVOLCS has retained Alert Level 1 (Low-level unrest) over the volcano and warns the public of sudden steam-driven or phreatic eruptions.

ADVISORY 05 [13 June 2022] As of 10 am, Philippine Standard Time, PLDT and Smart have deployed their Libreng Tawag (free calls) and Libreng Charging (free charging) stations in Sorsogon to serve the communication needs of residents who have been affected by the eruption of Mt. Bulusan.

Alert Level 1 (Low-level unrest) remains in effect over the volcano following more than 100 volcanic earthquakes in the past 24 hours. PHIVOLCS has also observed a 500-meter tall plume emanating from the volcano that drifted west-northwest. The agency warns that sudden steam-driven or phreatic eruptions may be possible.

ADVISORY 04 [10 June 2022] As of 2 pm, Philippine Standard Time, PLDT and wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), together with PLDT-Smart Foundation, have distributed the second tranche of their relief assistance to residents affected by the eruption of Mt. Bulusan in the town of Juban in Sorsogon.
More than 500 families received food packs in the following barangays – Puting Sapa, Mang-og, Catanusan (Sitio Linohan), and Buraburan (Puroks 5 and 6). PLDT and Smart personnel spearheaded the distribution. They were assisted by the local government of Juban, led by Vice Mayor Felipe Gausa.
Earlier this week, PLDT, Smart and PSF were the first private-sector responders to have extended assistance to Bulusan-hit residents in Juban. In total, more than a thousand families have benefited from the relief assistance from the PLDT Group.

ADVISORY 03 [07 June 2022] As of 2 pm, Philippine Standard Time, PLDT and Smart Communications, Inc. together with PLDT-Smart Foundation have extended relief assistance to residents in Juban, Sorsogon who were affected by the eruption of Mt. Bulusan.
As part of its initial assistance to communities impacted by #BulusanPH, PLDT, Smart and PSF turned over 500 food packs and KN95 masks to evacuees staying at shelters in Barangays Bacolod and Buraburan in the town of Juban.
The relief efforts were participated by PLDT and Smart personnel who were received by the municipal government of Juban represented by Vice Mayor Felipe Guasa.
Alert Level 1 remains over the volcano after PHIVOLCS recorded 7 volcanic earthquakes and voluminous emission reaching 150 meters high in the past 24 hours.

ADVISORY 01 [05 June 2022]
PLDT and wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) have activated quick response teams in Sorsogon following the eruption of Mt. Bulusan.
PLDT and Smart have prepositioned personnel and mission-critical equipment in the province to ensure the resilience of their infrastructure and, if needed, quickly respond to service issues that will be impacted by the eruption.
Our Libreng Tawag (free calls), Libreng Charging (free charging) stations are also on standby, ready to be deployed in areas that will be heavily impacted by the volcano to provide communication as aid to affected residents.
PHIVOLCS earlier raised Alert Level 1 (Low-level Unrest) over Bulusan following a phreatic eruption that lasted around 17 minutes. The agency reported that a steam-rich grey plume at least one kilometer tall was observed. Ashfall has been reported in Juban and Casiguran, Sorsogon. The agency has advised the public against entering the 4-kilometer radius Permanent Danger Zone.
PLDT and Smart are closely monitoring the situation. The two companies will extend assistance to response and rescue teams in areas that will be affected by the volcanic eruption. We urge the public to heed the alerts and warnings of local governments and authorities.
