From Taytay’s tiangges to shoppers’ fingertips.

Taytay’s garment and woodwork products are set to reach a wider market through the Made in Taytay app, an online marketplace powered by PLDT’s B2B arm PLDT Enterprise in partnership with Multisys Technologies Corporation and the local government of Taytay, Rizal.

The initiative brings together PLDT Enterprise, Multisys, the Taytay LGU, and the Department of Trade and Industry to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by helping them expand their customer base beyond physical markets. With the launch of the Made in Taytay app, locally made clothing and crafts from Taytay, one of the country’s most popular garments hubs, can reach more customers anytime, anywhere.

One of the tiangge owners already benefiting from the app is Desserie Valdizno, owner of Rikishee RTW Store, who believes that the app is a great way to showcase what Taytay has to offer.

Desserie Valdizno, owner of Rikishee RTW Store, believes that the Made in Taytay app is a great way to showcase what Taytay has to offer.

“The beauty of this app is that it is not just proudly Pinoy—the items for sale are really Made in Taytay,” she says, adding: “It also has a lot of special features. For example, you can pick up goods at the physical store in the Taytay Tiangge via the Logistics Hub. Plus, whatever product you see online, you can also see in person because you can contact and trace the seller while still shopping online.”

Supporting MSMEs for nation-building

“In a country where more than 90% of businesses can be considered MSMEs, supporting them by helping them scale and access more opportunities through technology forms a big part of nation-building,” said Blums Pineda, Senior Vice President and Head of PLDT Enterprise. “We are spurred to action by our Chairman and CEO Manuel V Pangilinan, who himself believes that there are no small businessmen, just small businesses. This is precisely why we are in Taytay. By providing this platform for growth, we empower our local entrepreneurs to reach more customers and grow sustainably.”

As part of this support, PLDT Enterprise also installed connectivity covering the tiangge centers to enable vendors to stay online and manage their digital storefronts efficiently. The app also integrates digital payment options such as e-wallets, allowing merchants to move beyond purely cash-based transactions.

In addition, the platform offers tools for inventory tracking, basic accounting, and order management, helping streamline day-to-day operations and reduce manual processes.

“This is proof of what we can do when we move together. Multisys is proud to be part of this effort to showcase the talents and the craftsmanship of our Taytay entrepreneurs and bring them closer to more customers through the Taytay app,” said Vic Tria, FVP and Head of Enterprise Domestic Business and SME at PLDT Enterprise and CEO and President of Multisys.

The initiative, which aims to create a more inclusive and resilient MSME ecosystem, is also aligned with PLDT Enterprise’s broader efforts to support MSMEs across the country through tailored digital solutions. Similar partnerships are being explored in other areas, reinforcing the Group’s commitment to uplifting local industries.
