MANILA, Philippines, May 7, 2012 - PLDT has begun rolling out VITRO Data Center facilities in key areas across the country to provide businesses cloud-based data and information management services that they need wherever they are located.
The announcement came after PLDT recently opened its second VITRO Data Center in Subic – the first VITRO Data Center facility located outside of Metro Manila. PLDT is set to expand its VITRO Data Centers in key locations within the Philippines.

The same will be said for the world-class facilities that will soon rise in key cities across the country that will make up the VITRO data center network,” said PLDT VP and Head of Alpha Enterprise Jovy Hernandez.
With the opening of the VITRO Data Center in Subic, PLDT has also announced the launch of its third data center in Cebu within the second quarter of this year which will cater to the data and information management requirements and ICT needs of businesses in the Visayas area, particularly in Cebu.

VITRO Data Center is the first Internet data center in the country to be certified for the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System and ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System standards. It is also certified for the ISO 27001:2005 Information Security Management System standard.
