With sustained network investments and improved performance, Smart is enabling subscribers from all walks of life to maximize its services--may it be for work or for school.

For working students like 20-year-old Brynne James Timbal from Bacoor City, Smart's mobile services serve him both ways. To pay for his online classes in a Quezon City school, Brynne balances his academics alongside working as a Cavite-based rider for a food delivery app.

Currently employed in the growing food delivery service, Brynne counts on a service provider that will help him complete bookings without delay, ensuring his clients a hassle-free dining experience. To do this, a reliable internet service is necessary to enable him to contact restaurants, pick-up orders, and find delivery locations with ease.

“My driver colleagues informed me that their mobile signal in the cities of Imus, Dasmariñas, and Bacoor were very strong, and that their carrier was Smart. This prompted me to switch to the Smart network, a service provider I can rely on while using my food delivery app,” said Brynne.

Through the Mobile Number Portability service, interested subscribers like Brynne can now move to the Smart network, while keeping their existing mobile numbers. This means that mobile users can keep their contact list and other information stored in their SIM cards intact, even after the transfer.

With his motorcycle helmet in tow, Brynne booked an in-store appointment at the Smart Store in SM City Molino and switched his SIM to the Smart network. After a Retail Store Specialist processed his request, the Store Manager briefed him about account management through the GigaLife App, digital payments through PayMaya, and unlimited 5G data through Smart’s Signature Postpaid Plans.

“I no longer have to worry about signal interruptions during deliveries because I am assured of Smart’s strong signal across Cavite. Thank you, Smart,” he said.

Apart from assisting Brynne in serving his customers in his part-time job, switching to Smart has also allowed him to subsidize his online schooling and cover his daily expenses.

As the fastest mobile network in the Philippines according to Ookla, Smart supports the connectivity needs of delivery riders and other economic frontliners who play a vital role in this pandemic through better customer experience.

With around 6,400 5G base stations across the country, Smart also operates the country's widest 5G network in the Philippines, which has also been recognized by Ookla as the Philippines' fastest* and most reliable 5G mobile network**.

Switch to the Smart network
Like Brynne, mobile users can now switch to the Smart network by first securing a Unique Subscriber Code from their originating provider to serve as clearance and by bringing it to the nearest Smart Store along with a valid ID and any proof of mobile ownership. From there, Smart will begin processing their application without any charges. Interested subscribers can also make the Smart move via the GigaLife App, which is downloadable on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

To know more about switching to Smart, mobile users may also visit x.smart/switch or head to the nearest Smart Store.
