Aimed at helping lift the quality of service delivery, PLDT Inc. (PLDT) and its wireless arm Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) have enhanced internal processes through an employee ambassadorship program and a dedicated service platform.  

PLDT reinforces its undisputed leadership as the country’s leading telco provider as it secures from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) the provisional authority to construct two new cable landing stations in the country that will host the Apricot cable system, the newest Intra-Asia submarine cable strategically facing the Pacific side of the Philippines. 

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) recently celebrated the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Week 2023 at their Makati headquarters.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart advance sustainability culture in the workplace by empowering employees to recycle. During the celebration of its Environmental, Health and Safety Week, the PLDT Group launched the enhanced recycling and waste management program for employees called ‘Be Kind. Recycle.’ in support of a circular economy. 

PLDT and Smart are helping Cabanatauan City educators in the province of Nueva Ecija explore new teaching methods. As educational institutions close out the first school year of hybrid learning, PLDT and Smart continue to support efforts by the Department of Education to ensure no learner is left behind through the Central Visayan Institute Foundation Dynamic Learning Program (CVIF DLP). 

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) concluded the third season of Innovation Generation (InnoGen), an innovation grant program for young and tech-savvy Filipino changemakers whose passion and purpose are to build a better and smarter world for all.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) joined Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. (AKFI), the social development arm of TV5, on its 10th year anniversary celebration.   

Recognizing that network services are a crucial part of customer centricity, PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. held their nationwide “Customer Experience (CX) On the Road” workforce transformation initiative right at the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) in Makati City, which hosts a large number of network personnel. 

Recognized for championing innovative achievements, PLDT and Smart First Vice President and Head of Enterprise and International Business Groups, Mitch L. Locsin, won a Silver Award for Thought Leadership at the 2023 APAC Stevies. 

Embracing all employees and their identities, PLDT and Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) shine the spotlight on ‘Every Color, Every You’ as this year’s group-wide campaign for the LGBTQIA+ Pride Month in June.
