PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) powered the first-ever hackathon of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), encouraging students to produce technology-enabled and purpose-driven solutions to create positive change.

During the celebration of its Environmental, Health and Safety Week, the PLDT Group launched the enhanced recycling and waste management program for employees called ‘Be Kind. Recycle.’ in support of a circular economy.

As educational institutions close out the first school year of hybrid learning, PLDT and Smart continue to support efforts by the Department of Education to ensure no learner is left behind through the Central Visayan Institute Foundation Dynamic Learning Program (CVIF DLP).
