The Philippines’ largest fully integrated telco PLDT received the most number of citations among ASEAN telcos at the 2021 World Communication Awards (WCA), with a total of five nominations at one of the most revered award programs in international telecommunications.

For services and programs that help improve the lives of Filipinos, more so amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis, the Philippines' largest integrated telco PLDT Inc. and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. received back-to-back recognitions throughout 2020 from renowned international and local institutions and award-giving bodies. 

PLDT HK of the PLDT Global Corporation (PGC) won the Most Innovative Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), besting four other international companies that made the shortlist of the 2nd Annual International MVNO Industry Awards held recently at the MaritimProarte Hotel in Berlin, Germany.
