Christmas comes early and a million times merrier for five Smart retailers. For Samuel, Jane, Ray, Sara and Johnny, their loyal partnership with Smart has brought them unprecedented blessings while helping customers stay connected in the pandemic. PLDT wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has rewarded these five load retailers with Php1 million each, through the Smart Ka-Partner program.

PLDT and Smart have activated quick response teams to ensure customers remain connected all throughout as the tropical depression outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) east of Mindanao continues to approach the southern Philippine region.

Enabling disadvantaged Filipinos to celebrate a happier Christmas this year and ensuring that it’s Tuloy Pa Rin Ang Pasko despite life’s challenges, the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) teamed up with Smart Communications, PLDT Home, PayMaya, and Fiberhome Philippines to provide noche buena packs, vitamins, and t-shirts to jeepney drivers and operators of Barangays Payatas and Bagong Silangan in Quezon City.

A record number of LGUs and organizations have partnered with PLDT and Smart to champion mental health across the country. Among them are General Santos (GenSan), Tarlac, La Union, Lingayen, and Baguio. Organizations such as the Youth for Mental Health Coalition and #MentalHealthPH also collaborated with PLDT and Smart to create safe spaces online for the youth.

Since launching the Better Today Conversations program in October 2020, PLDT and Smart have garnered over 1 million views for its online series on mental health awareness, including the Time Capsule Project and Power Move Project.

PLDT and Smart continues its Better Today conversations series on mental health, this time with Baguio City.

Together with the Province of La Union and PLDT-Smart Foundation’s Gabay Guro program, PLDT and Smart reinforce their commitment in promoting mental health by linking up the “Kamusta Ka, eLyU?” conversations series and Gabay Guro’s Learning Never Stops program.

The PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) recently provided education grants to over 200 dependents of PLDT and Smart employees through the Manuel V Pangilinan Academic Excellence Awards (MVPAEA).

PLDT and Smart, in partnership with TikTok, launched the #BetterTodayAffirmations Challenge to invite the public to share their stories that champion mental health and resilience. To date, the TikTok Challenge has garnered over 14 million views.

Various companies chaired by business leader Manuel V. Pangilinan provided PLDT Inc. (PLDT) and Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) connectivity and communications support to ensure seamless operations during the government’s pilot Bayanihan, Bakunahan National Vaccination Days (NVD). The massive inoculation drive of the National Task Force against COVID-19 (NTF) and National Vaccines Operation Center (NVOC) from November 29 to December 1, 2021 also coincided with the MVP Group’s pilot COVID-19 booster vaccination for qualified non-medical employees and their dependents.
