Gaining another win for its customers, leading integrated telco network PLDT Inc. (PLDT) has been conferred the 4-Golden Arrow Award at the 2025 Institute of Corporate Directors’ (ICD) Golden Arrow Awards Ceremony, in recognition of the company's commitment to excellence in corporate governance performance, transparency, accountability, and sustainable business practices. PLDT has been a consistent recipient of the prestigious Golden Arrow Awards, which reaffirms the company's standing as a model among publicly listed companies (PLCs) in the Philippines, based on the 2024 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) evaluation results.

Chief Sustainability Officer Melissa V. Vergel de Dios receives the award on behalf of the company.
“This 4 Golden Arrow Award recognition reflects PLDT’s unwavering dedication to uphold global standards of good governance,” said FVP/Chief Sustainability Officer, and Governance, Nomination and Sustainability Committee Member Melissa V. Vergel de Dios. “It is both an honor and a responsibility that inspires us to continuously raise the bar and strengthen our systems of accountability, transparency, and ethical leadership. Through sound governance, we aim to build lasting trust with our stakeholders, create sustainable value, and contribute to positioning the Philippines as a globally competitive investment destination.”
PLDT continues to score high in the ACGS, which assesses and ranks PLCs in six participating ASEAN countries, namely the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

PLDT's 4-Golden Arrow Award is a testament to the company's commitment to excellence in corporate governance performance, transparency, accountability, and sustainable business practices.
Companies are assessed on how well they protect and promote the rights of their shareholders, ensuring fair treatment and equitable opportunities; interactions with various stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and the community; commitment to transparency and accountability, through timely and accurate disclosure of material information; and effectiveness of the board of directors in guiding the company's strategic direction, monitoring management performance, and ensuring board accountability to shareholders and other stakeholders.
The scorecard is based on publicly available disclosures and aims to raise the corporate governance standards and practices of the country to make well-governed Philippine publicly listed companies attractive to investors.
