The Philippines' leading integrated telco PLDT Inc. has once again proven its dedication to excellence in corporate governance performance, as it is recognized with the 3-Golden Arrow Award at the 2024 Institute of Corporate Directors’ (ICD) Golden Arrow Awards Ceremony. The prestigious honor highlights PLDT's commitment to transparency, accountability, and sustainable business practices.
A consistent recipient of the Golden Arrow Awards, PLDT's commitment to the highest standards of corporate governance practices was once again affirmed by the integrated telco’s receipt of the recognition as a model among publicly listed companies (PLCs) in the Philippines, based on the 2023 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) evaluation results.
“This award is a testament to our enduring commitment to adhere to global standards, as we strive together with other top PLCs in the country to help position the Philippines as a viable investment destination, driving the economy, creating value and serving the needs of Filipinos, the regional community and the world,” said SVP and Chief Legal Counsel and Corporate Secretary Atty. Marilyn A. Victorio-Aquino, who received the award for PLDT. “We look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence on our journey toward achieving full top marks in the Golden Arrow awards in the years to come.”

PLDT continues to score high in the ACGS, which assesses and ranks PLCs in six participating ASEAN countries, namely the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Companies are assessed on how well they protect and promote the rights of their shareholders, ensuring fair treatment and equitable opportunities; interactions with various stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and the community; commitment to transparency and accountability, through timely and accurate disclosure of material information; and effectiveness of the board of directors in guiding the company's strategic direction, monitoring management performance, and ensuring board accountability to the company and their shareholders.
