Hope shines this Christmas season as PLDT Global Corporation (PLDT Global) and the Department of Migrant Workers light up a Christmas tree to celebrate overseas Filipinos. Officially kicking off the Christmas festivities at the Department of Migrant Workers headquarters in Mandaluyong City, PLDT Global COO Edith Gomez-Cudiamat and VP for Strategic Partnerships Jojo Quiamas, together with DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac, DMW officials and executives, and other VIPs lead the ceremonial lighting of the DMW Christmas Tree designed using balikbayan boxes, symbolizing a tribute to millions of Filipinos working overseas and recognizing their love for and dedication to their families.
PLDT Global and DMW’s partnership is a step towards realizing a bigger joint vision of building a dedicated support network of government and private sectors that will advocate for the well-being and empowerment of OFWs, through reintegration programs, upskilling and livelihood opportunities, and relevant services through TinBo (Tindahan ni Bossing).
Together, DMW and PLDT Global celebrate the unparalleled contributions of OFWs around the world who continue to inspire Filipinos with their dedication, strength, and excellence.
