The Philippines’ leading integrated telco network PLDT Inc (PLDT) and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc (Smart) broaden their reach in boosting the country's culture of preparedness and resiliency through their Business Continuity (BC) Awareness Program. The Business Continuity and Resilience Office (BCRO) of the PLDT Group recently participated as speakers and facilitators in the Area-Wide Business Continuity Management Training for Key Industries and Lifelines Utilities, organized by the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) in partnership with United States Agency for International Development (USAID), with Laguna Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
Held in Canlubang, Laguna, the three-day seminar focused on enhancing business continuity strategies and plans of companies within the Laguna Ecozone Industrial Park and Local Government Units (LGUs) in the Calabarzon region.

The training focused on equipping participants with foundational knowledge and practical tools to develop effective business continuity plans, highlighting the critical role such strategies play in ensuring organizations can withstand disruptions and maintain operations during crises.
