Advisory 1: PLDT and Smart maintain readiness amid Tropical Cyclone ‘Tino’
[03 Nov 2025] As Tropical Cyclone “Tino” (international name: Kalmaegi) brings heavy rains and strong winds across parts of the country, PLDT Inc. and its wireless arm Smart Communications, Inc. assure customers that their teams are ready to keep communities connected.
The group continues to coordinate with local government units (LGUs), disaster response agencies, and community partners to maintain vital connectivity in affected areas.
“Our teams are always prepared to respond, especially during severe weather events,” said Jose Roby Alampay, First Vice President and Head of Public Engagement and Corporate Communications at PLDT and Smart. “We remain committed to keeping Filipinos safe and connected.”
PLDT and Smart remind the public to keep devices charged, save emergency contacts, and follow official government channels for verified updates, in line with the Group’s #SafeandSmart advocacy to strengthen community resilience through technology.
