TNT and Smart Prepaid subscribers in affected areas received emergency load assistance to help them communicate during the weather disturbance.

PLDT and Smart have immediately mobilized field and operations teams to assess network facilities and restore connectivity services in areas affected by the recent earthquake that struck parts of Mindanao.

PLDT Inc. and its wireless arm Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) are ready for the possible impact of Tropical Storm #UwanPH, which is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) over the weekend. According to PAGASA, the weather system may intensify as it moves closer to Luzon.

Advisory 2: PLDT and Smart step up efforts amid ‘Opong’

(Sept. 26, 2025, 12 noon) PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) continue to be on heightened alert and are closely monitoring Severe Tropical Storm “Opong” (international name: Bualoi) as it moves across the Philippine landmass, bringing heavy rains and strong winds over affected regions.

July 28, 2025—PLDT and Smart have set up additional Libreng Tawag and Libreng Charging stations in Cavite, Baguio, La Union, Pangasinan and Tarlac to assist communities affected by Typhoon “Emong” and the southwest monsoon (habagat). These services aim to help residents reconnect with loved ones and access essential information as recovery efforts continue.
