PLDT ALPHA Enterprise powers Dial Pag-IBIG 724-4244

MANILA, Philippines, September 07, 2012 – State-run Pag-IBIG Fund tapped the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) to bring the agency’s services closer to its 11 million members worldwide.

PLDT Vice President and Corporate Relationship Management Head Renato Castaneda said that the facilities of their information and communications technology unit PLDT ALPHA Enterprise will power the Pag-IBIG call center. The partnership is expected to boost the ability of Pag-IBIG to efficiently monitor and manage inbound calls to its 724-4244 Hotline.

Philippine telecoms leader PLDT and its mobile subsidiary Smart Communications together with Digitel and Sun Cellular will again host the much-awaited Asian Carriers’ Conference (ACC) 2012, with Department of Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez Jr. as keynote speaker, at Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa in Cebu from September 4 to 7.
 

PLDT upgrades DA telecom system to help facilitate agri dev’t projects

MANILA, Philippines, August 30, 2012 – The Department of Agriculture (DA) has partnered with a leading telecoms provider to link up all its field offices nationwide.

The partnership with the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) for a so-called Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) project will enable the DA to widely disseminate information to and from its 45 offices nationwide, including those in the country’s 16 regions.

PLDT broadband and internet revenues up 32% in H1, maintains leadership with 3.1 million subscribers

MANILA, Philippines, August 21, 2012 – The PLDT Group sustained the strong growth in its broadband and internet business with total revenues from these services up by 32% year-on-year to P11.6 billion in the first half of the year.

“We have clearly maintained our leadership position in broadband and internet as our subscriber base continued to grow, hitting more than 3.1 million as of end-June this year,” said PLDT and Smart President and CEO Napoleon Nazareno.

PLDT fires up Davao’s Kadayawan with free WiFi

MANILA, Philippines, August 18, 2012 – Leading telecommunications provider PLDT is bringing Davao to the world by providing free Wifi to Kadayawan festival goers. WiFi Zones, powered by PLDT, will fire up the city at the height of the Kadayawan festivities from August 18 – 19.

National Power taps PLDT ALPHA Enterprise for employee mobile communications

MANILA, Philippines, August 17, 2012 – State-owned National Power Corp. (Napocor) has appointed PLDT ALPHA Enterprise to supply and deliver Smart pre-paid cellular mobile telephone services to its employees as part of efforts to better manage its operational expenses.

PLDT VP for Corporate Relationship Management Renato Castaneda said the multi-million peso contract will be good for two years. "With a pre-paid cellular phone service, Napocor can now monitor loads that are provided to its employees based on the approved amount per job grade plan," Castaneda explained.

IdeaSpace start-up bootcamp concludes Smart Tech Fest in Davao
