Manila, Philippines, March 21, 2011 - Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (“PLDT”) priced PHP5 billion 5-year, 7-year and 10-year fixed rate notes with a group of primary institutional lenders last March 18, 2011.  Issue date will be March 24, 2011.  The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (“HSBC”) acted as the sole lead manager and bookrunner for this transaction. Proceeds from the facilities will be used to finance capital expenditures and refinance existing debt obligations.

today announced its audited financial and operating results for 2010 with consolidated Reported Net Income increasing by 1% to P40.2 billion, from the P39.8 billion recorded last year. MANILA, Philippines, February 25, 2011 – The Philippine Navy has tapped the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) to set up an integrated communications system that will link the country’s naval forces.

The Philippine Navy now relies on PLDT’s IP VPN (Internet Protocol – Virtual Private Network) backbone for video conferencing, data and voice transmissions of its six naval groups stationed in different parts of the archipelago.
