‘Women power’ partner with Smart for food security in Muntinlupa, Taguig

In celebration of the 2022 National Women’s Month, Smart continued working with women-led organizations to help ensure food security in low-income communities. With the COVID-19 pandemic disrupting the flow of goods from farms to markets, Smart has been advocating home gardening, supporting the evolution of ‘plantitas’ nationwide.

First-ever Gabay Guro Winner from Mindanao receives Chery Tiggo Grand Prize

Gabay Guro, the flagship education program of PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) under its Gabay Karunungan advocacy, recently turned over the Chery Tiggo Grand Prize to 38-year-old teacher Anafel from Misamis Occidental. A first-time attendee of Gabay Guro’s virtual Grand Gathering last October 2021 which gained more than 500,000 live viewers, Anafel is also the first-ever Grand Gathering winner from Mindanao.

PLDT, Smart turn over School-In-A-Bag to Kidapawan IP schools

To help preserve culture and educate the youth with Indigenous People’s traditions, PLDT and Smart Communications turned over a “School in a Bag” (SIAB) package to the Schools Division of Kidapawan City in Mindanao, to be used by the Obu Monuvu learners in the IP schools in Barangay Ilomavis and Balabag. 

PLDT, PSF aid CDC Covid-19 vaccination drive with Moderna vaccine donations

PLDT’s wholly-owned subsidiary PLDT Clarktel, Inc., and the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) have recently turned over 3,000 doses of Moderna vaccines to government-operated firm Clark Development Corporation (CDC) to help in its vaccination drive and booster programs for the area.

Baguio City holds another run of PLDT and Smart’s Better Today Conversations on Mental Health Awareness, focusing on mental strength and resilience. With over 8,900 views online and over 300 on-ground participants, Baguio City Mayor Benjie Magalong led the conversations series’ line-up of speakers.
