Partnering with Antipolo's city government and social welfare and development office, and Save the Children Philippines, the PLDT Group rolled out the “Better Today for Kids: Bata, Bata Kami ang Iyong Kasangga” learning caravan to share valuable information on how the youth can protect themselves online.

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart bolster their child online protection initiatives in Visayas by conducting the “Better Today for Kids: Bata, Bata Kami ang Iyong Kasangga” learning caravan, in the municipalities of Daanbantayan in Cebu and Miagao in Iloilo.

PLDT and wireless unit Smart Communications Inc. embolden their digital wellness and child online protection initiatives by holding the Better Today Psychological First Aid program in Visayas, in partnership with Football for Humanity.

Together with Football for Humanity, PLDT and Smart strengthen child protection initiatives by providing training for football coaches to help turn them into providers of psychological first-aid care for survivors of OSAEC.

PLDT and Smart forge ahead in leveraging technology to promote sound mental health for all. In 2023, PLDT and Smart recorded a reach of over 45 million for its #BetterToday program, bridging the digital divide, as it creates safe, happy, and inclusive spaces.

In partnership with PLDT and Smart, the Provincial Government of Quirino recently held a mental health awareness summit with students and government employees from the province of Quirino. 

PLDT and wireless unit Smart have ramped up digital inclusion efforts in the Visayas region, empowering senior citizens and visually impaired persons through digital training under the group's Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Advocacy through Technology or IDEATe program.

“Soccer helped me cope, because after I became an amputee, I lost my confidence. That was the time when I really doubted myself. Soccer helped me build my confidence,” she said. Now, the athlete from Cebu is a member of the World Amputee Football Federation.
