PLDT Inc. (PLDT) and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) celebrated Women’s Month by lining up several activities for women empowerment and to further strengthen the company’s gender, diversity, and inclusion initiatives in the workplace.

PLDT Group and its social outreach arm PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) commit to support Quezon City’s urban development initiative, “Buhay at Bahay:  Housing and Improved Community Services Caravan”.

Known by her tribe as Bae Pindolanon, Mirimbae Barazar is the first female Indigenous People Mandatory Representative (IPMR) in the municipality of Kalilangan, Bukidnon Province, and one of only a few female leaders in the community.

PLDT and its wireless arm Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) have teamed up with the provincial government of Davao de Oro in creating a more disaster-resilient community for Davaoeños.  

As part of the group’s initiatives for International Women’s Month, PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) turned over PlantSmart kits to the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW), Marillac Hills, and Haven for Women.   

More than 825 educational grantees have been awarded by the Philippine National Police and the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) since 2008. Now on its 15th year, the social outreach arm of PLDT and Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) continues to deliver its commitment to the PNP to support qualified dependents nationwide with quality education.

PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), the social outreach arm of PLDT and Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), recently turned over boxes of vitamins to the Philippine National Police (PNP). 

PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) have partnered with the municipality of Talavera in Nueva Ecija to work towards community resilience with the Ligtas Kit.

The Department of Education has recognized PLDT and Smart as long-standing partners in improving the quality of education in the Philippines.
