With one Facebook post, residents of La Union saw a glimpse of hope in the form of bicycles. Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Joy Ortega and Donate A Bike, Save A Job Founder Gretchen Ho partnered with PLDT, Smart, and PLDT-Smart Foundation to bring ‘joyful’ bikes to La Union.

PLDT and Smart’s Wellness Revolution is an employee engagement program that provides a holistic and sustainable approach on wellness for the two telcos’ over 16,000-strong nationwide workforce.

PLDT and Smart, together with the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), have partnered with Donate A Bike, Save A Job Founder Gretchen Ho by providing Bikes for Livelihood to the Province of La Union. 

Efforts of PLDT, Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) are still underway to provide immediate assistance in the form of communication as aid, relief goods, and hygiene kits to communities affected by the recent Magnitude 7 earthquake that rocked North Luzon.

PLDT and its wireless communications unit Smart Communications Inc. (Smart) joined the annual celebration of Nutrition Month and turned over ‘PlantSmart’ kits to select Metro Manila communities. PlantSmart is among the key programs under PLDT and Smart’s core advocacy of Food Security, which aims to help provide Filipinos access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food at all times.

100 farmers from Barangay Maricaban in Santa Fe, Bantayan Island have received #PlantSmart Kits from Smart Communications, Inc.. Under this program, Smart aims to help create food-secure communities by forming community pantries.

(Smart) recently turned over more School-in-a-Bag (SIAB) units to PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) as part of Huawei Philippines Inc.’s (Huawei) 20th anniversary and PLDT and Smart Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan’s 76th birthday celebrations.

As nationwide protests in Sri Lanka continue amid its economic crisis, Filipinos in the South Asian country who are currently subscribed to the roaming services of Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) will get free 1GB GigaRoam data roaming access (valid for 5 days) to help them reach out to family members, friends, the Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and other government agencies.
