[Oct. 3, 2025] PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) are closely tracking Severe Tropical Storm “Paolo” (International name: Matmo) as it approaches Northern and Central Luzon, particularly Northern Aurora and Southern Isabela.

Our network operations teams continue to monitor and maintain critical facilities to ensure connectivity remains resilient. Resources and personnel are in place to support uninterrupted services and community needs throughout the storm.

(Smart) continue to be on heightened alert and are closely monitoring Severe Tropical Storm “Opong” (international name: Bualoi) as it moves across the Philippine landmass, bringing heavy rains and strong winds over affected regions.

PLDT and Smart sustain relief efforts to assist communities in Northern Luzon devastated by recent typhoons. In collaboration with PLDT-Smart Foundation, the Group is expanding its offer of additional Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charge, Libreng Wi-Fi stations and emergency load assistance.
