PLDT’s wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) continues to strengthen its partnership with Cebu People’s Multipurpose Cooperative (CPMPC) through the provision of Smart Bro Pocket WiFi devices to over 50 People’s Jeep transport units.
This initiative which allows free WiFi access for passengers of modern public utility vehicles aligns with the goal of CPMPC and People's Jeep in improving the services they are offering to the public.
“We at Smart are honored to be CPMPC’s chosen partner in pursuing their organization’s goals by providing these connectivity devices that will empower their drivers and bring delight to Cebuano commuters. This is part of our mission to create a better tomorrow by empowering Filipinos everywhere with customer-focused digital innovations that help them unlock and share their infinite potential,” said Francis Aldwin Flores, Head of Smart Consumer Business Group.
“On behalf of CPMPC, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Smart for this support. We always welcome every partnership that comes our way, and this partnership with Smart is a significant factor in the growth of our cooperative. This does not just bring free connectivity access to the people but also unlimited opportunities to CPMPC and People’s Jeep,” said CPMPC President and CEO Brian Yap.
PLDT and Smart’s efforts to provide connectivity for all underscores its commitment to help the country attain the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals No. 11 on Sustainable Cities and Communities.
