The Chairman of PLDT, Inc, and the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), Manuel V Pangilinan recently pledged a P4-million scholarship grant to the chosen scholars of his alma mater, San Beda College. Equivalent to P1 million for the next four years, this pledge matches the P4-million-donation of the PSF to the San Beda College Alumni Foundation (SBCAF).

As part of the MVP Group’s Tuloy Pa Rin Ang Pasko (TPRAP) movement, PLDT, Smart and the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) reached out to over 5,000 families and communities nationwide.

Presented by PLDT-Smart Foundation Inc. and Metro Pacific Investments Inc., the star-studded online musical concert billed “Himig Ng Pasko at Pag-asa“ is a New Year’s benefit concert for typhoon survivors to be held on December 31, Thursday. The show will benefit teachers and students from areas identified by DepEd.

PLDT Chairman President & CEO Manuel V Pangilinan made a gift donation of US$1 million to The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. A Wharton graduate himself, his donation establishes the Manny V Pangilinan MBA Fellowship Fund and support the Tangen Hall Mechatronics Laboratory.

Hailing from a small town in Peñablanca, Cagayan, 93-year-old Franchisca Taguiam has braved thousands of storms. She is among the many residents who have been severely affected by Typhoon Ulysses. PLDT, the country’s largest integrated telco, recently reached out to Taguiam and her family as the company mobilized efforts in typhoon-hit areas.

The Philippines’ largest integrated telecommunications firm PLDT Inc., along with its wireless arm Smart Communications, Inc., showcased its best practices in digital inclusion and sustainable development at the annual Accounting for Sustainability Summit.

PLDT, in partnership with Museo Iloilo, invited 25 local artists to participate in the e-Christmas card-making project. Anchored on the theme, “FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE this Christmas in the Time of Pandemic”, the artists created masterpieces, which are collectible and unique Christmas e-cards.
