PLDT and its wireless arm Smart Communications, Inc. have partnered with the Philippine National Police in the construction of a Multi-Purpose Building at Camp BGen Oscar M Florendo, Parian, City of San Fernando in La Union, as part of PLDT and Smart's overall efforts to assist the needs of communities and public institutions like the PNP.

PLDT wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. kicked off the Philippine National Disaster Resilience Month with the launch of the #SafePH disaster preparedness online caravan.  

PLDT and Smart, together with the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), turned over around 1,000 food packs to three municipalities in Batangas as aid to families displaced by Taal Volcano’s renewed activity.

(Smart) commended the Philippine government and all partners in the anti-trafficking sector for retaining the country’s Tier 1 status in the 2021 Trafficking in Persons Report by the U.S. Department of State.

In its continuing commitment to enable Filipinos to find work or create their own businesses, the foundations of the companies led by Manuel V Pangilinan recently distributed 60 bicycles to disadvantaged residents of Quezon City. The initiative is part of Bike for Livelihood initiative, with the goal of teaming up with local government units (LGU) to facilitate the bicycle donations.

The MVP Group Vaccine Task Force (MVP VTF) activated today its PLDT Sta. Ana Warehouse vaccination site in the City of Manila. The site is the second launch three days after the ceremonial launch at the Meralco Compound in Pasig, part of the pilot NCR+ locations that will administer vaccines to over 60,000 employees from companies under the leadership of businessman Manuel V. Pangilinan. The MVP Group #WeGotYourVac program also offers vaccines to employees' dependents and household members.

PLDT’s wireless unit Smart has activated Libreng Tawag (free calls) stations in Batangas to help residents affected by Taal’s renewed unrest stay connected. The free calling stations have been activated in Barangays Ticub and San Gregorio in Laurel, Batangas, providing communication as aid for residents.
